Cristi Bickham

As Deputy General Manager of External Affairs, Cristi oversees the offices of Communications, Intergovernmental Relations, Supplier Diversity and Inclusion and Procurement - providing leadership and oversight of internal and external stakeholder engagement. Cristi is also leading the effort to increase external funding to support the capital program and customer assistance initiatives to improve WSSC Water’s financial strength and provide greater financial assistance to customers. 

With more than 20 years of leadership experience in regulated utilities, Cristi is a seasoned veteran of the water, energy and legal sectors. She served in several leadership roles for the City of Atlanta, including as the Chief Administrative Officer for the Department of Watershed Management, where she managed Communications and Community Relations, Legislative and Intergovernmental Relations, Procurement, Facilities, and Performance and Accountability. Before Atlanta, she served ten years as legal counsel for Connecticut-based Eversource Energy. 

Cristi earned her B.A. in Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a law degree from Howard University School of Law. 

She loves spending time with her children, spin class, puzzling and volunteering in her local community.
