If you're experiencing a water emergency, such as a broken water main, or a sewer emergency, report it using our mobile app, email the Emergency Services Center, or call us at 301-206-4002.

WSSC Water: Who We Are

WSSC Water has been serving the people of Montgomery and Prince George's Counties for more than 100 years. Now one of the largest water and wastewater utilities in the nation, we are committed to providing you with safe, reliable water - life's most precious resource.

WSSC Water's Mission, Vision & Values

Our service area spans nearly 1,000 square miles in Prince George’s and Montgomery counties, and we serve 1.9 million residents through approximately 475,000 customer accounts. WSSC Water drinking water has always met or exceeded federal standards.

Our Governance

WSSC Water is governed by six commissioners, three from Montgomery County and three from Prince George's County, who serve four-year terms. Working with the commissioners is the Corporate Secretary, who keeps WSSC Water's official files and records.
